Jiezhou Garden is located in Qinjiabao, Dongcai Village, Jinting Town, Wuzhong District. It is a representative work of small residential gardens during the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods in Suzhou. As its name suggests, Jiezhou Garden is small and exquisite. The main building is only a three-room study called ‘Weiyun Xiaozhu’. In the south of the garden, there are yellow stone rockeries, strange peaks and different caves, which are cleverly arranged within a few feet. There is a podocarpus macrophyllus tree about three hundred years old in the garden. The trunk is thick and strong, vigorous and straight. To the east of the garden, there is a small pool, which forms a charming contrast with the rockery and adds artistic conception to the ancient garden.
