Longtouzhu is a peninsula formed by Dachu Mountain winding into Taihu Lake. It resembles a giant dragon lying prone in the blue waves of Taihu Lake, hence the name Longtouzhu. The ‘Qili Embankment’ in the resort area is by far the best landscape avenue in Mashan. There are three scenic spots to view Longtouzhu in the scenic area. The first is the Longmen viewing platform at the entrance. The second is the Wanglong Pavilion. The third is in the lake. Only by taking a boat can one truly appreciate the imposing manner of the green dragon lying on the waves. Wanglong Pavilion is the best place to view Longtouzhu by land. Looking from afar, the dragon head is like a green dragon stretching into the center of Taihu Lake.

Free for retired personnel: Those holding the retirement certificate issued by the state. Free for contributors: Individuals with provincial blood donation contribution awards, blood donation stem cell awards and lifelong honor awards for blood donation volunteer services (with relevant award certificates). Free for military personnel: From April 10, personnel holding the ‘Preferential Treatment Certificate for Retired Soldiers of the People’s Republic of China’ and the ‘Preferential Treatment Certificate for Relatives of Martyrs, Servicemen Killed in Line of Duty, and Servicemen Dying of Illness of the People’s Republic of China’ nationwide are free. Preferential for teaching staff: Teachers with more than 30 years of teaching experience in Wuxi. Preferential for students: Full-time undergraduate students and students below undergraduate level.
