Qiucheng is an earlier city in Huzhou’s history. It began in the late Spring and Autumn Period. The founder is Fugai, the younger brother of King Fuchai of Wu. There are Neolithic sites in the east, south and southwest of Qiucheng, so it is called ‘Qiucheng Ruins’. Today, after renovation, the Qiucheng Ruins have taken on a new look and a park with lush trees has been built. Walking on the slightly raised wooden walkway, there is lush greenery on both sides and fresh air. After climbing onto the platform, in front is a vast tea plantation, which is the Wenshan Yuquan tea plantation in the Tang Dynasty. At the top of the tea plantation is a pavilion where you can rest. Looking west, you can see Bishan, the main peak of Wuxing. Looking north, you can see the Moon Hotel and overlook the beautiful scenery of the South Taihu Lake at Xiaomeikou. The specific business hours and opening status are subject to the opening situation on that day.
