It is an essential and sacred site in Mount Jiuhua, a must-visit destination for tourists. Here lies the incorrupt body of the eminent monk Jin Qiaojue, also known as Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. According to Buddhist teachings, after Jin Qiaojue’s parinirvana, his body was placed in a jar for burial. Three years later, his disciples built a pagoda around the jar and constructed a hall on the foundation of the pagoda. This unique structure, where ‘the hall encloses a pagoda, the pagoda encloses a jar, and the jar contains the true body,’ is known as the Hall of the True Body.

Pilgrims who visit this site not only burn incense but also enter the hall to circumambulate the pagoda in a clockwise direction for blessings, with the number of circuits being odd.

The hall is open year-round from 07:00 to 17:00, with specific business hours subject to the day’s opening status.
