Shen’s Theater Garden is said to have been built by the descendants of Shen Yue, the teacher of Prince Zhaoming of the Liang Dynasty and the Minister of the Ministry of Rites. It is a distinctive courtyard facing north and south, with four rooms and five sections, each separated by a patio and a gate tower, and was restored in 2004.
Now, the five small buildings and five courtyards have been redesigned as the center of the Wuzhen Theater Festival, and the original third section has been transformed into a traditional theater garden. The specific opening hours and business status are subject to the actual opening conditions on the day.
