Known as the ‘First Cave Heaven of Jiangnan’, Pingyan Cave Residence is a large natural scenic area in Hengdian. The stunning scenery of Pingyan Cave Residence is the Jin Si Jian on Houyan Mountain. It is a straight and steep rock crevice from the top of the rock to the foot of the mountain, less than one meter wide, but its depth is unfathomable, a masterpiece left by nature in Pingyan Cave Residence. If you stand on the top of the rock and look down into the crevice, you will inevitably think of the phrase ‘bottomless abyss’, even though it is far from that distance, the vertical view can create an astonishing illusion. Many people who come here will pick up a small pebble and gently toss it into the middle of the crevice. Due to the uneven walls of the crevice, the bouncing pebble will make a clear and crisp sound all the way, as if someone casually played a small tune, until the pebble finally falls silent.
