Bird Paradise is a veritable ocean of birds, housing over 10,000 birds from more than 150 varieties around the world. Among them are more than 20 rare species globally and over 30 rare species nationally, spanning six categories: aquatic birds, wading birds, flying birds, songbirds, birds of prey, and pigeons. The park features key species such as parrots, flamingos, cranes, emus, ostriches, mandarin ducks, red-bellied pheasants, and peacocks, making it one of the most comprehensive and populous bird-watching parks in the country.
The main attractions within Bird Paradise include: Linghu Waterfowl Park, Crane Wading Bird Park, Tropical Flower and Bird Park, Flamingo Park, Small Bird Park, and the Science and Education Pavilion.
Opening hours are from 08:30 to 17:00 from May 1st to September 30th, and from 08:30 to 16:30 from October 1st to April 30th.
Preferential policies include: Children aged 6 years (inclusive) or below 1.4 meters (inclusive) in height can enter for free with valid identification; minors aged 6 years (exclusive) to 18 years (inclusive) receive discounts with valid identification. Elderly individuals aged 70 years (inclusive) and above enter for free with valid identification; those aged 60 years (inclusive) to 70 years (exclusive) receive discounts. Active military personnel and disabled individuals enter for free with valid identification. Full-time university undergraduate and below students receive discounts with valid identification. Suzhou medical staff can enjoy free visits to all scenic spots under Mudu Cultural Tourism Group for seven days starting from China Physician’s Day on August 19th and International Nurses’ Day on May 12th.
