Located on the south bank of Wuzhen West Street, it was established during the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty by a blacksmith from Huzhou who came to Wuzhen to operate a workshop.
The architectural structure of Yichang Smelting Workshop is very unique, with all the columns being carved from stone, which is why the locals call it the ‘Stone Foot House’.
The workshop is open to visitors from 09:00 to 21:30 all year round.
