Wolong Bridge

Wolong Bridge is a renowned stone bridge in Xitang, located at the Beizhahakou of Xitang Town, Jiaxing, north of the Chinese Wine Culture Museum. It is a single-span, stepped stone bridge with a total length of 31.46 meters, a width of 5 meters, and a height of 5.5 meters, and has a history of several hundred years.

The bridge deck of Wolong Bridge is a large, single slab of stone, and an entire dragon is carved on the bridge, with its head facing east and tail facing west, which can still be faintly discerned today.

There is a couplet on the bridge that reads: ‘Repair the rugged roads of hundreds of years, build the bridge for thousands to travel.’ The bridge is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific operating conditions subject to the day’s opening status.
