Wuhu City Museum

Wuhu City Museum is located in the eastern new district, adjacent to the Central Park in the north. The exhibition hall is divided into general history displays and thematic displays, covering the history of Wuhu City from 2.2 million years ago to 1949. It boasts three major highlights: grand and atmospheric presentation, vivid imagery, and exquisite exhibits. The exhibits include animal fossils from the Renzi Cave in Fanchang, as well as locally unearthed artifacts such as King Wu’s sword, gold, silver, and bronze wares, jade, and porcelain. In terms of exhibition forms, the city museum not only employs traditional methods such as exhibit cabinets, display boards, sand table models, and scene restorations but also incorporates modern technologies like large screen videos, electronic touch screens, and sound and light projections.
