Suzhou Youth Science and Technology Museum

The Suzhou Youth Science and Technology Museum is located at the intersection of Zhongshan South Road and Sports Road in Wujiang City. Covering an area of over 30,000 square meters with a construction area of 23,000 square meters, the museum has a total investment of approximately 120 million yuan. It is divided into four main areas: a science popularization exhibition area, a cultural and artistic training area, a large-scale events and academic conference area, and an office service area.

The museum’s primary feature is the integration of two functions: one is the exhibition and education department (the museum), which mainly provides science education for young people. The total investment in equipment is about 20 million yuan, with approximately 80% of the exhibits being interactive, which is a high proportion among national science museums. It combines entertainment, science, and knowledge, vividly reflecting classic scientific principles and technological applications. The activity area is divided into five parts: a science activity exhibition hall, an observatory, a digital dome theater, a 4D dynamic cinema, and a children’s playground. Outside the venue, there is a Red Scarf Square and a national defense education park.

The second function is the training department, which provides excellent learning conditions for children in Wujiang City. Currently, it offers eight major categories of training programs, including fine arts, calligraphy, dance, sports, science, vocal music, and instrumental music, with more than 200 training classes. We adhere to the combination of popularization and improvement, establishing the first children’s folk band, children’s orchestra, children’s choir, children’s Latin dance group, children’s dance group, children’s calligraphy and painting society, and children’s literature society in Wujiang City, totaling seven children’s cultural and artistic associations. We also organize these associations’ children to participate in various public welfare activities and competitions.
