Shuidong Ancient Town

Shuidong Town, located in the southeastern part of Xuancheng District, Xuancheng City, borders Guangde, Langxi, and Ningguo, and is the eastern gateway of Xuancheng District. With a population of approximately 33,000, it governs 9 villages and 1 community. The Shuiyang River flows along the southwest of the town, and the Wan-Gan Railway is visible across the river, just four kilometers away from the Shuidong freight station. The provincial highway 104 passes through the area, making transportation convenient.
Shuidong Town was originally established during the Tang Dynasty and has a history of over a thousand years. It boasts a rich cultural heritage, including old streets from the Ming and Qing dynasties and a Song Dynasty mountain villa. The area is environmentally beautiful, featuring the AAA-level scenic spot Longquan Cave, the uniquely shaped Shanhe Stone Forest, and the picturesque mountain village of Zongcun. It is open all year round, with full-day access.
