Yuantong Zen Temple is the main temple of Luojia Mountain, located on the flat ground at the mountain peak.
图片描述
The temple was built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, initially as a small Yuantong Hermitage. Although it is still not considered a large temple, it is bustling with people and thriving with incense, embodying the charm of an ancient temple.

Despite its unassuming appearance, the interior of the main hall is adorned with intricately carved beams and painted rafters, resplendent with gold and splendor.

A 3.3-meter-tall statue of Guanyin, made of sandalwood and gilded, is enshrined within the hall, holding a pure vase and radiating a compassionate gaze over all beings with a serene demeanor. Beside the Guanyin, there are sculptures of the thirty-two manifestations of Guanyin.

The Eastern Main Hall is the Water Guanyin Hall, which houses the reclining statue of Guanyin.

The stone relief corridors are inlaid with stories from the Universal Gate of Avalokitesvara Sutra, vividly depicting the touching scenes of Guanyin saving all beings, drawing people towards Buddhism.

At the rear of the temple, there is an ancient stone well named Longquan, with the well mouth carved into the shape of a dragon’s head, from which water flows out of the dragon’s mouth.

It is open all year round, accessible 24/7, with specific business hours subject to daily opening conditions.
