Yudong Old Street has a history of 650 years. The entire street still retains 2146 stone slab streets, approximately 846 meters in length. The bottom of the stone slabs serves as a sewer system, which also functioned as a hidden military tunnel in ancient times, with water channels running through the city to the moat.
Surrounding the old street, there are still many historical relics preserved to this day, including Dongyue Temple, Baoan Bridge, Sister Wells, the Former Residence of the Martial Scholar, Zhang’s Private School, and Fan’s Residence, all of which are protected cultural relics in Haimen City.
