Yong'anxi River Rafting

Yong’anxi is the mother river of Xianju. The current Yong’anxi River rafting section totals 7.68 kilometers, utilizing specially made bamboo rafts from local Xianju products as the tool. ‘A small bamboo raft floats in the stream, with towering green mountains on both sides.’ Riding a bamboo raft downstream, one may experience the smoothness of flat ground or swiftly pass through dangerous rapids, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The clear water, blue sky, and distant mountains allow one to savor the tender and carefree warmth akin to flowing water, as well as the fascinating pastoral scenery on both banks.

The dock: This is the starting point of Yong’anxi River rafting, located in Ximen Village, Bulu Township, 8 kilometers away from Xianju County. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and with very convenient transportation, the entire dock is built in a simple and elegant style, unique in its charm. The pavilions, towers, and buildings are well-arranged, with long corridors, flying eaves, red pillars, and blue tiles, as well as the pebble-walled waiting hall, offering a refreshing experience. The dock’s fence, imitating the bamboo, is orderly, and the greenery is well-maintained, making it an ideal place for tourists to wait and rest.

The Happy Forest: This scenic spot is located in the middle of the rafting course, adjacent to Yong’anxi River in the north and connected to a lush bamboo forest in the south. The forest is home to a variety of birds, such as long-beaked birds and egrets. It is a rare paradise where the fragrance of flowers and the songs of birds can be enjoyed all year round, and it is also the only place along the rafting route where tourists can disembark and rest. The scenic spot offers a variety of goods for sale, including snacks, tea, travel supplies, souvenirs, and seasonal fruits, as well as agricultural and sideline products occasionally available. Here, one can also experience the feeling of stepping on a rural water wheel.

Opening hours: 08:00-17:00 from May 1st to September 30th (summer time), and 08:00-16:30 from October 1st to April 30th (winter time). Admission ceases at 16:30 during summer time and at 16:00 during winter time.

Preferential policies: Children: Half price for those with a height of 1.2 meters (inclusive) or below. Elderly: Half price for those aged 70 years old (inclusive) or above with valid identification. Military personnel: Half price with a military officer’s ID. Disabled individuals: Half price with a disability certificate.
