Yangzhi Nunnery was built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. For more than 300 years, it has been treasuring the Yangzhi Guanyin stele painted by Yan Liben, a painter of the Tang Dynasty, which is one of the three treasures of Putuo. This stele is 2.3 meters high. The standing statue of the Bodhisattva engraved on it is wearing a pearl crown and brocade robe, with jewels floating and draped. The left hand is holding a pure vase, and the right hand is holding a willow branch. The auspicious appearance is solemn.
