Panda Pavilion at Changyu Dongtian

The Panda Pavilion is located within the picturesque Changyu Dongtian Shuangmen Dong Scenic Area, serving as the habitat for the national treasures Taotao, Huanhuan, and Fuwa.
Surrounded by lush bamboo forests and layered green mountains outside the pavilion, it offers an elegant and tranquil atmosphere. Inside, tiered pools are designed with water flowing down the walls, into channels, and back into the pools in a continuous cycle.

The construction of the Panda Pavilion began in August 2009 and was opened to the public on February 5, 2010, covering an area of 4,300 square meters. It is composed of three main parts: one indoor exhibition hall and two outdoor exhibition halls (one of which is still under construction).

The pavilion features black and white pebble patterns in the pools that echo the architectural design, with a circle of low stone pillars bordering the pools, adding a unique charm. With its ingenious concept, innovative shape, and rational layout, it stands out among animal shelter buildings as a prime example of the perfect combination of artistry and practicality.

Opening hours are from 07:30 to 17:00 all year round; from 08:00 to 16:30 all year round.
