The Botanical Garden scenic area, also known as ‘Suzhou Botanical Garden’, is located in the southern part of Dayang Mountain National Forest Park in Suzhou. The scenic area covers an area of about 86 hectares, adjacent to Taihu Avenue, with lush trees, fresh air, and extremely high levels of negative oxygen ions, making it a rare ‘urban lung’.
The northern part is a scientific and ornamental plant area with specialty gardens; the southern part is a recreational and entertainment plant area, highlighting the entertainment, ornamental, and interactive relationships with people; the eastern part is an introduction and cultivation area, where a large number of rare plant species have been introduced and planted.
The entire scenic area is open from 09:00 to 16:30 all year round, and the night session starts after 16:30.
Preferential policies for children: Those who are 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.4 meters (inclusive) in height, with valid identification, and children under 1.4 meters must be accompanied by an adult to enter and play for free.
Preferential policies for minors: Those who are 6 years old (exclusive) to 18 years old (inclusive), with valid identification, enjoy half-price.
Preferential policies for students: Full-time university undergraduate students and below, with a full-time student ID, enjoy half-price.
Preferential policies for the elderly: Those who are 60 years old (inclusive) to 70 years old (exclusive), with a ‘Senior Citizen Preference Certificate’ or valid ID, enjoy half-price; those who are 70 years old (inclusive) and above, with a ‘Elderly Certificate’ or valid ID, enter for free.
Preferential policies for the disabled: With a ‘Disability Certificate’, and one accompanying person for severely disabled individuals with valid identification, enter for free.
Preferential policies for active-duty military personnel: With a military ID or other valid identification, enter for free.
Preferential policies for retired military officers: With a retirement officer’s certificate, enter for free.
Preferential policies for firefighters: With a firefighter’s certificate, enter for free.
Preferential policies for medical workers nationwide: During Doctor’s Day with a doctor’s certificate, and during Nurse’s Day with a nurse’s certificate, enter for free.
