Ta Wan Scenic Area is located on the eastern part of Taohua Island, surrounded by mountains on the north, west, and south sides, facing the vast sea to the east. The Thousand Steps Golden Sand is adjacent to the azure water harbor, with clear waves outside the beach and golden sands shimmering on the shore. The area is characterized by its lush green mountains, pure sands, and beautiful waters, resembling an inland lake beach along the coast. There are also hundreds of acres of lavender fields, with the sea breeze rustling the purple waves of flowers, accompanied by a fragrant aroma.
Additionally, the area boasts a natural seaside bathing beach, where visitors can enjoy the scenery of the ocean by taking a leisurely stroll or engage in various beach and sea activities. One can also walk among the flowers to experience the romance and tenderness of Taohua Island. The Thousand Steps Golden Sand beach, with a length of 1370 meters and a width of over 400 meters, is one of the larger beaches in the Zhoushan Archipelago. The beach has a gentle slope, pure sand quality, and fine, soft sand particles, making it an ideal beach for sea bathing, sand bathing, sunbathing, and beach strolling.
The two promontories extend into the sea, embracing the bay into a ‘lake’ with calm waters and a clear, azure hue. The bay is home to natural species such as grouper, tiger head fish, and swimming crabs, making it suitable for various water sports, fishing, and fishing activities. During the summer and autumn seasons, when the stars disappear and the sun rises from the sea, the sea and the sandy ground merge into one, creating the ‘Golden Sand Sunrise’ astronomical spectacle.
The hundred-acre herb garden is mainly composed of three types of purple flowers: lavender, pink萼鼠尾草, and willow leaf verbena. Under the bright and dazzling sunlight, the dreamy purple flowers bloom, resembling shining amethysts swaying with the wind, embodying the crystal clear love. When the purple expanse connects, the romance of love is deeply imprinted in the heart.
