Twelve Peaks is located in the Daruoyan Scenic Area, approximately 2 kilometers away from Taogong Cave. It is a group of rhyolite peaks formed by joint weathering, water erosion, and crustal uplift.
They exhibit a variety of shapes and forms, each resembling something distinct, with lifelike images that change with the viewer’s movement. People have named them Precious Crown Peak, Incense Burner Peak, Fairy Palm Peak, Heavenly Pillar Peak, Lotus Peak, Banner Display Peak, Stone Mushroom Peak, Zither Peak, Upright Brush Peak, Rhino Horn Peak, Stone Tablet Peak, and Child Peak.

The Twelve Peaks stand tall with their summits often shrouded in clouds and mist, creating an ethereal and enigmatic atmosphere. They are considered the soul of Nanxi River, a gift from nature. The highest peak, Precious Crown Peak, stands at an elevation of 517 meters. Heavenly Pillar Peak, resembling a pillar supporting the sky, rises from the mountain’s waist with a relative height of about 250 meters, which is quite spectacular.
