Fuquan Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southeastern hills of Dongqian Lake, bordered by Xiangshan Port to the southeast and Dongqian Lake to the northwest. The scenic area is primarily characterized by its mountain ridge tea gardens, changes in mountain weather, and panoramic views of the mountains, sea, and city. The Wanghai Peak stands at an elevation of 556 meters and is the highest peak within the area. From the summit, one can look west to see Dongqian Lake and the Ningbo city area, and to the east, witness the sunrise over the sea.
The area is lush with vegetation, including pine forests, fir forests, bamboo forests, mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, and shrublands. The vegetation at the summit is predominantly tea plants, with over 3,600 acres of tea plants planted in a rounded, ridge-like formation that undulates with the contours of the mountain, creating a spectacular ‘Green Wave of Tea Ridges’ landscape. At the summit, there is a clear pool of water known as ‘Longtan’, next to which is an ancient well that never runs dry, referred to as ‘Fuquan’.
At the foot of the mountain lies the ancient temple of Dachisi from the Six Dynasties and the tomb path of Shi Miyuan, a prime minister from the Southern Song Dynasty. The area is open year-round from 08:30 to 16:00.
Preferential policies include: Children: under 1.2m (inclusive) are free of charge; between 1.2m (exclusive) and 1.5m (inclusive), half price. Elderly: aged 70 and above (inclusive) with valid identification are free of charge. Military personnel: active-duty military with identification are free of charge. Disabled persons: with valid identification are free of charge. Retired officials: with valid identification are free of charge. Additional notes: 1. Complimentary tickets do not include transportation tickets within the scenic area, which must be purchased separately. 2.
