Zhedong Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall

The Zhedong Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall is located at the former site of the Zhedong Revolutionary Base, centered around the Siming Mountain, in Henkangtou Village, Liangnong Town, Yuyao City. It was one of the nineteen liberated areas during the Anti-Japanese War and one of the seven guerrilla war bases in the south during the Liberation War.

The former site of the Zhedong District Committee of the Communist Party is a wooden-structured residential building from the late Qing Dynasty, with seven rooms in the main building, and two side buildings connected to the main building by a corridor, each with two rooms. In the middle is a courtyard paved with pebbles, surrounded by high walls and tall horse-head wind fire walls.

From 1943 to 1945, the Zhedong District Committee of the Communist Party was stationed here, which can be regarded as the ‘heart’ of the Zhedong Anti-Japanese Base centered on Liangnong. It is open to the public all year round from 08:30 to 16:30.
