Yuelao Pavilion: A Symbol of Matchmaking in Chinese Folklore

Located to the southwest of Xiyin Zen Temple, the Yuelao Pavilion is built in the architectural style of Suzhou gardens.

In the middle of the Yuelao Pavilion’s hall stands a jade sculpture of Yue Lao, flanked by Qilin, symbolizing the delivery of a child, and another Qilin offering treasures.
