Wang Shengda Museum

The Wang Shengda Museum is located in Xinzhuang Village, Gaaoqiao Town, to the west of Lianfeng Airport Road. The museum consists of a three-story ancient-style main building, a distillery, a wine spirit pavilion, and a double fish pond, among other components. The ancient-style construction area, covering more than 2800 square meters, is a three-story building with a vintage charm. Each floor serves as a separate exhibition hall.
The first floor features a simulated scene of Wang Shengda Rice Shop’s transactions at the entrance, along with two functional areas: an oil pressing workshop and a milling room. These areas display the essential tools used in the oil pressing and rice milling processes of the old times, supplemented with illustrations and texts.

The second floor is dedicated to the display of traditional Jiangnan agricultural culture. The exhibition hall’s walls are adorned with twenty-one Qing Dynasty ‘Imperial Farming Pictures,’ and the hall showcases a variety of daily farming tools from the olden days. Through physical displays and textual explanations, it authentically reproduces the agricultural culture of the Eastern Zhejiang region in the past.

The third floor outlines the history and prospects of the ‘Wang Shengda Rice Firm’ through four sections: the Wang family’s arrival in Yin, the establishment of ‘Wang Shengda,’ the decline of the family fortune, and the revival of ‘Wang Shengda,’ accompanied by relevant physical displays. To the south of the main building is the ‘Wine Culture Museum,’ which primarily features live displays of brewing processes and manual activities such as wine making, oil pressing, and rice cake pounding, as well as a display room for brewing tools, wine vessels, and original famous liquors. Additionally, the museum is surrounded by lush trees and a clear stream, creating a very peaceful environment, making it a worthwhile place for visiting and leisure. It is hoped that primary and secondary school students will truly understand the profound meaning of ‘every bowl of porridge and rice should be cherished’ after visiting the Wang Shengda Museum, learning to cherish food and appreciate the labor of others. The museum is open from January 1st to December 31st, from 08:30 to 16:30.
