Ningbo’s Buddhist Lay followers’ Forest is located on the picturesque Yuehu Liuting Island. With a history of over 700 years, it stands as a cultural landscape in the Yuehu Scenic Area. Inside the Forest, there are established Buddhist study rooms and a Buddhist library to facilitate the followers in their study of Buddhist teachings and to enhance their understanding of Buddhism, thereby promoting the spread of Buddhist Dharma.
The Forest is a well-known religious site where devout men and women come to worship daily, with an especially large number of visitors during Buddhist festivals, often leading to overcrowding.
