Jin’e Zen Temple is located at the foot of Jin’e Mountain in the southern suburbs of Ningbo, 35 kilometers away from the city, and has a long history of over 1200 years. Known as the ‘thousands of peaks like tablets, ten thousand valleys paying homage’, Jin’e Mountain is a famous mountain in the south of Yinzhou, with an elevation of 633 meters, and it is a continuation of Tiantai Mountain.

Jin’e Zen Temple was originally built during the Dali years of the Tang Dynasty, and its incense has been burning for more than a thousand years. Surrounded by babbling brooks and towering ancient trees, the temple now occupies an area of more than 50 acres, with grand and solemn pagodas, truly a rare Buddhist sanctuary.
