Huiri Zen Temple

Huiri Zen Temple, formerly known as Huiri Hermitage, is located in Dongyi Village, Zhanqi Town, Yinzhou District. The temple was originally built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, which is over four hundred years ago. It is said to have been constructed by the Xie family ancestors from the Shenglixiang clan in Dongyi Village, Zhanqi Town, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City.

Huiri Zen Temple is situated against the backdrop of the thousand-year-old Tian Tong Zen Temple and King Asoka Temple. The entire temple is resplendent and majestic, with a garden, a pagoda, and three bridges outside, and two corridors, three main halls, and four living quarters inside. Additionally, there are halls dedicated to various bodhisattvas, pavilions, ponds, lawns, and flower beds. The vast scale and architectural beauty of the temple surpass those of the surrounding temples, attracting a multitude of devotees from all directions.
