The Huwei Gorge rafting project is located between Zhujia Keng and Juchi Village in Shaxi Town, Xinchang County. It is 4.3 kilometers long in total, with a drop of more than 70 meters. The first half is canyon rafting, which is 3.3 kilometers long. There are high mountains and canyons on both sides, with cliffs, dense virgin jungles, and turbulent water flow. There are many cultural relics and historical sites. Folk tales and legends have a long history. The touching legends of Lover’s Valley and Heartbreak Rock are lamentable. The second half is pastoral scenery rafting, which is about 1 kilometer long. The slope is gentle and the water flow is stable. The scenery on both sides is beautiful. Ponds with clear water and visible fish, dense and verdant bamboo forests, ancient villages with curling smoke, and fragrant and lush rural vegetable gardens are scattered, making people relaxed and happy with a special artistic conception.
During the construction of the rafting project, on the premise of paying attention to maintaining the original ecological features around the scenic area, the scenic area especially makes efforts on the thrills and excitement of the rafting project. The construction of the rafting channel follows nature, highlighting the drop, speed and safety, so that tourists can not only experience the fun of the rafting project, but also safely and comfortably enjoy the canyon and pastoral scenery.
Opening hours: Open from 12:00 to 16:30 from June 1st to August 31st; Closed all day from September 1st to May 31st.
