Fufushi

Fufushi is located at No. 91, Xiaowen Street, Haishu District, Ningbo City. It is the library of Mr. Feng Mengzhuan, a famous book collector and bibliographer in eastern Zhejiang. The name ‘Fufu’ comes from ‘Ruling Xian Dian Fu’ by Wang Yanshou in ‘Wen Xuan’, which means curling up like a cunning rabbit, not seeking fame and fortune, being diligent and tireless, concentrating on study and being prudent in scholarship. The current building of Fufushi faces east from the west, with wing rooms on both sides. In December 2009, after a comprehensive renovation, the Memorial Hall of Mr. Feng Mengzhuan (Fufushi) was opened to the public with a brand-new look. Inside the building, there is an exhibition on the life story of Mr. Feng Mengzhuan. A large number of picture materials and physical objects are used to show Mr. Feng Mengzhuan’s life resume, literary achievements, book collection achievements and relevant deeds of donating his book collection to the country, presenting a vivid and detailed account of Mr. Feng Mengzhuan’s life. Opening hours: 08:30 – 16:30 from January 1st to December 31st.
