Located in the central coastal area of Zhejiang, Xiangshan Film and Television City is situated in the picturesque Xinqiao Town Dadang Port Ecological Tourism Area, consisting of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States City. The Condor Heroes City, designed by the chief architect Qian Yunxuan, is entirely planned and constructed in the style of the Song Dynasty, covering an area of 400,000 square meters. It is divided into six major sections: the main gate area, the introduction area, Xiangcheng area, mountain area, lake area, and scaffolding area, forming eight scenic spots including the ancient battlefield, workshop area, village street area, Guiyun Village, Tomb of the Living Dead, Lu Family Manor, Xiangyang City, and Mongolian Yurts, as well as more than 160 individual buildings. Additionally, there are five major government courtyards, the largest artificial banyan forest in the country, covering an area of 1,400 square meters, and an artificial karst cave of 3,500 square meters. The size of the ancient battlefield is among the largest in the numerous film and television cities across the country.
Stars frequently visit the scenic area. Besides watching celebrities filming on the set, the film and television base also holds special, irregular meetings between celebrities and fans, allowing tourists to get ‘zero-distance’ contact with stars. Watching film and television shooting, inviting celebrities for group photos, asking for autographs, and interacting with stars have become one of the main contents of visiting the film and television base. The opening hours are from January 1st to June 30th, 08:30-16:00; from July 1st to October 6th, 08:30-21:00; from October 7th to December 31st, 08:30-16:00.
