Cang Sang Pavilion

Cang Sang Pavilion is located on the top of Jinzi Mountain in the Houhaitang area of Zhenhai, with an elevation of approximately 24.5 meters. During the Tang and Song dynasties, the construction of the city moat began at the foot of Jinzi Mountain, using the mountain’s base to strengthen the moat.

Originally, there was an octagonal building on the mountain, which served as a place for local officials and scholars to compose poetry and hold banquets.

In 1987, a Ming-dynasty style stone pavilion was reconstructed on the site of the original octagonal building, featuring a single eave and a four-sided pointed roof.

It is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day; however, the specific business status is subject to the daily opening conditions.
