Baishui Chong Waterfall is located on Baishui Mountain, four kilometers south of Liangnong Town in Yuyao City, Zhejiang Province.

Baishui Mountain, also known as Bai Mountain, is named after Bai Gong, who cultivated and attained enlightenment here. The mountain features four peaks: Ye Mountain, Screen, Stone House, and Yun Gen. The Stone House Peak is characterized by its grotesque rocks and steep cliffs; Yun Gen Peak is strikingly verdant and brilliant, with sparkling springs.
Between these two peaks, a curtain of waterfall plunges down from a height of 53 meters, resembling a white dragon soaring to the sky and roaring like thunder, creating a spectacular sight known as the Baishui Flying Waterfall, commonly referred to as Baishui Chong.
Throughout the ages, many poets have composed verses praising this waterfall, with vivid and lively descriptions. For instance, Zhao Danshan from the Yuan Dynasty described it as: ‘The jade dragon roars, and the mountains open; the suspended waves burst forth, overturning the towering cliffs. The returning wind can turn into flying rain, and together we listen to the thunderous echoes from ten thousand valleys.’ Shen Mingchen from the Ming Dynasty also left behind the verse: ‘The gentle murmur blows ancient snow, rolling back into the Milky Way.’
The opening hours are from 8:30 to 17:30 all year round.
