Wuxi Grand Theatre

The Wuxi Grand Theatre has a unique shape. Seen from above, it is like eight ‘wings’, like a butterfly landing by the city’s waterside. From the exterior to the interior decoration, advanced materials at home and abroad are currently used. The theatre makes extensive use of glass curtain walls. Bamboo is used instead of wood from the ground, seats to walls. Five of the eight ‘leaves’ cover the main performance hall that can accommodate more than 1,700 audiences. Three ‘leaves’ cover the multi-functional performing arts hall that can accommodate more than 700 audiences. The main entrance hall is in the middle of the two sets of ‘leaves’, covered by a glass roof, combining them together. This combination method successfully divides the building into two parts. One side is the main entrance on Jinshi Road in the south of the city, and the other side is the future subway entrance and exit. The main entrance road on the south side of the building will have two entrances leading to the public parking area on the first floor, the bus parking area and the taxi waiting area. There is a promenade around the building on both the first floor and the 6-meter-high base respectively. There is also a lakeside promenade along the lakeside. The opening hours and specific business status are subject to the opening situation on that day. Preferential policy supplementary note: 1. There is currently no preferential policy for the scenic spot. 2. The above information is for reference only. Specific details are subject to the disclosure of the scenic spot.
