Guanyun Golf Club, located in the picturesque town of Wukang, Deqing County, is known as the backyard garden of Hangzhou. It is in close proximity to the Moganshan Scenic Area, one of China’s four major summer retreats. The design of the golf course is inspired by the sea of clouds over Moganshan, integrating elements such as the undulating terrain, greens, fairways, and bunkers to create a vivid, simple, and imaginative space. The clever placement of the green flags reflects the healthy and leisurely culture of golf and the traditional Confucian values, harmoniously blending movement and stillness.

The golf course naturally embodies the geographical and historical cultural characteristics, presenting an ecological scene of contentment and tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is captivating. The name of the club is derived from the impressive clouds, one of the three marvels of Moganshan. The clouds of Moganshan are distinctive, changing with the time, dynamic like floating waves and static like piled cotton. Standing on the sea of clouds, one feels as if they are dining on mist and dew, and resting on clouds and cotton, providing a sense of detachment from the world. Moganshan is often rainy and foggy, and the fog after the rain is a breathtaking view: the mountain below the waist is completely engulfed by clouds and mist, while the top of Tashan floats above the clouds, like a small island in the ocean.
