The ancient canals in Jiangnan bring together two land and water tourism routes, the ancient city moat canal and Qingming Bridge. Sailing along the water from the ancient city, you can enjoy Wuxi’s modern urban scenery and also feel the humanistic and natural landscapes of different themes. The ancient canal section from Nanchang Bridge to Qingming Bridge is relatively narrower and has a long history, so it is also known as ‘water alley’. Due to its long history, complete preservation and perfect combination of water and culture, it has become the ‘cream of the cream’ of the ancient canal and is praised as ‘Jiangnan water alley, the only place of the canal’. The ancient canal cruise at Qingming Bridge (Kuatangqiao Wharf) is located beside Kuatangqiao. Next to it is Starbucks. It is very easy to find. After seeing the nostalgic atmosphere of the ancient Qingming Bridge, you can take a cruise here. There are many antique old buildings along the way. It is a good way to understand Wuxi’s old history.
Opening hours: From January 1st to December 31st, it is open from 09:00 to 20:30. During the National Day, it is open from 09:00 to 21:00. Usually, there is a departure every 30 minutes.
During the epidemic period, the operation hours are from 13:00 to 20:30.
