Osmanthus Park is named after the city flower of Suzhou, the ‘Osmanthus’. The park features a variety of evergreen flowering shrubs, with over 260 species, including many precious and rare tree species. The park is particularly known for its osmanthus trees, boasting a rich variety and large quantity of osmanthus species, leading the country. To date, there are 62 osmanthus varieties recorded by osmanthus classification experts Xiang Qibai and Liu Yulian, out of which 50 varieties are collected in Osmanthus Park, belonging to two major categories: Four Seasons Osmanthus and Autumn Osmanthus, and four variety groups: Four Seasons Osmanthus, Silver Osmanthus, Golden Osmanthus, and Red Osmanthus.
