The 630 Band was established in 2015 with lead singer Chen Le as the founder, inviting outstanding musicians from all over the country to join in the relentless effort to spread Wong Ka Kui’s music. By 2023, teams had been formed in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Beijing, and Guangzhou. The musicians are all staunch fans of Beyond and Wong Ka Kui, who were inspired by Beyond’s music in their childhood and take pride in interpreting Beyond’s music as adults, taking on the responsibility of passing on Wong Ka Kui’s music from generation to generation.
All the teachers in 630 are top musicians in their respective fields and also the preferred musicians for well-known Hong Kong and Taiwan singers, with over 2000 commercial performances under their belt. June 30th is the day Ka Kui left us, and it is also the day the 630 Band was reborn, hence the name ‘630’. The event is open on December 28th, Saturday, from 19:00 to 21:00, with the performance time and duration subject to the actual event.
