Bai Yang Waterfall is located in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, Taiwan, and is a renowned waterfall within the Taroko National Park
The Bai Yang Waterfall consists of two tiers with a total drop of approximately 200 meters
The upper tier has a smaller drop, about 30 meters, and there is a pool beneath it
The gap of this pool is immediately followed by the second tier, which has a drop of 170 meters
The Taroko National Park Administration has constructed the Bai Yang Trail, leading to a viewing platform at the confluence of Sanzhanxi and Lishu Streams
Due to the distance from the waterfall and the terrain limitations, it is not possible to see the upper waterfall from the viewing platform, and the lower waterfall is also partially obscured by the mountains, allowing only about two-thirds of the waterfall body to be seen, thus preventing a full view of the waterfall
The waterfall is open all year round, 24 hours a day
