Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio

The Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio is commonly regarded as the third most important church in Milan, with its construction beginning in 1095. In the 16th century, the church underwent further expansion, adding a Baroque-style facade. In stark contrast to its modest exterior, the interior of the church is extremely ornate. Additionally, the church is surrounded by commercial streets, making it an excellent place for shopping. The opening hours are Saturday 8:00-12:00, 15:30-19:30; Sunday 8:30-13:15, 16:00-19:30; and Monday-Friday 7:30-12:00, 15:30-19:00 throughout the year.
