Located beside the Fish Swimming Square in Beihai Silver Beach Resort, the Ice Realm Pavilion is the first ice sculpture art performance space on Chinese beaches. The interior scenes are deeply integrated with ice elements, creating a dreamy atmosphere.
With a cave-style design, beach sea view terrace, and approximately 6000 square meters of indoor and outdoor venues, the art ice sculpture pavilion offers a viewing of the avant-garde dance drama ‘Melting’, appreciation of diverse art exhibitions, and an experience of the extremely cold cave-style ice warehouse, forming an interesting collision and boundless imagination.
The Ice Realm Pavilion has invited the Han Yuan Guang team, inheritors of ice lantern and ice sculpture art funded by the National Art Fund, to be stationed on site for long-term ice sculpture creation. The pavilion also provides ice-themed specialty catering and creative cocktails. Visitors can rest and cool off inside the pavilion, appreciating the ice sculpture creation process and works, while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Silver Beach in the coolness. Backed by the sea, the Ice Realm Pavilion presents a posture of swimming fish, as if ready to embrace the sea at any moment. The pavilion’s exterior is uniquely designed with smooth lines and simple colors, harmoniously blending with the surrounding silver-white beach. Climbing the stairs outside to the second floor of the Ice Realm Pavilion, visitors are greeted by a large platform for viewing the sea at 180 degrees. Standing on the observation deck on the second floor, the Silver Beach sea view is panoramic, with the sea breeze gently blowing, bringing the taste of summer. Here, one can savor the coolness of the sea breeze while appreciating the sparkling sea surface, feeling the grandeur and tranquility of the world’s number one beach. Entering the interior of the Ice Realm Pavilion on the second floor, with fine sand underfoot and moss clinging to the walls, the entire cave seems naturally formed. The tables and chairs inside the cave are made of natural stone, with various shapes, as if one is in the embrace of nature. On the first floor of the Ice Realm Pavilion, there is also a mysterious ice warehouse, with extremely low internal temperatures and many ice sculptures carved by internationally renowned ice sculpture artists. Visitors can touch these crystal-clear ice blocks here, experiencing the cool touch and feeling the charm of ice and snow at a close distance. The venue also features the avant-garde dance drama ‘Melting’, using ice as a medium to tell the story of ‘life cycles’, a performance full of vitality that allows viewers to experience the essence and beauty of time, life, and emotions. The venue is open all year round from 09:30 to 22:00. Preferential policy for children: Children under 6 years old (not yet 6 years old) or under 1.2 meters in height (not yet 1.2 meters) are free of charge. Free additional note: Each adult is limited to bringing one free child, and additional children need to pay for tickets.
