This is an ancient street. Its northern end starts from Rua do Entrepostos at the intersection of Rua da Palha. The southern end extends beyond Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro to between Rua da Madeira Vermelha and Rua da Porta do Cais Vermelho, with a total length of 310 meters. The official name of this street is Avenida. Later, it is also called Camp Street. The name comes from the fact that this place was once a place where the army set up camp.
