The Ciyun Jile Zen Temple is located on Moxin Mountain in the southeast of Daishan Island. It is expanded from Ciyun Nunnery. It was initially built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 240 years. Since its establishment, the temple has endured numerous disasters. Since 1983, it has been renovated and expanded by pilgrims at home and abroad with donations. Now it has formed a relatively large scale, mainly composed of a parking lot, mountain gate, Fangu Qingyin, release pond, bell tower, drum tower, Mahavira Hall, Jade Buddha Hall, Poetic Wall of Ten Scenes of Penglai, Sutra Depository, Ksitigarbha Hall, Yixin Pavilion, Ciyun Nunnery, Jade Buddha Pagoda, Penglai Tea Garden, etc., covering an area of nearly 100 mu. Ascending the steps from the parking lot, on the left is the Fangu Qingyin Cave. Outside the cave is the release pond. After walking up the high steps and entering the Penglai Buddhist gate tower (entering the mountain gate), on the left is the drum tower, on the right is the bell tower, and in the middle is the Jade Buddha Hall. Above the Jade Buddha Hall is the main hall of the Zen temple – the Three Saints Hall, with a height of 25.3 meters. The entire hall is magnificent and resplendent.
