Cunjin Bridge is located on the west side of Chikang District, and the ‘Cunjin Haoqi’ is one of the top eight scenic spots in Zhanjiang. It was built by the gentry of Suixi Machang District in 1925 and was renovated in 1959. After the renovation, the Cujin Bridge became a single-hole stone bridge with a cement surface, measuring 19 meters in length and 12 meters in width, with 18 parapets on each side, and a monument erected at the west end of the bridge.
On both sides of the Cujin Bridge lies the Cujin Bridge Park, which was established in 1958 and was originally named ‘Xishan Park’ and ‘People’s Park’, and was renamed in March 1981. A statue of the anti-French hero stands solemnly at the spacious square in front of the park’s entrance, exuding an air of righteousness and indomitable spirit, representing the heroic image of the people of Zhanjiang. Cujin Bridge is a cultural protection unit of Zhanjiang City and a patriotic education base for the municipal government. It is open to the public all year round, 24/7.
