Dong Taihu Swimming Area, located to the west of Suzhou Bay Food New World and adjacent to Taihu Lake, is a landmark open-air swimming venue in the Wujiang area. It boasts beautiful scenery and pleasant air, being less than 10 meters away from Taihu Lake. Swimming here feels like swimming in the lake itself, and one can also enjoy the night view of East Taihu.
The swimming area is divided into three parts: deep water area (1.4 to 1.8 meters), shallow water area (1.0 meters), and children’s wading pool (0.2m to 0.3m). The deep water area has four swimming lanes, constructed to a 50-meter standard, and can accommodate approximately 200 people swimming at the same time. In 2018, Dong Taihu Swimming Pool added sunshades, allowing friends who wish to exercise during the day to come early without worrying about getting sunburned.
Opening hours are from January 1st to December 31st, Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:00; and on Saturday and Sunday from 13:00 to 22:00.
