Dongyuan Tower is located in the east of Huangxian Forest Park. It stands on Shangshan Mountain and has seven floors. It is a high tower in the east of Fenghua. The tower was built in memory of an important ancestor of Huangxian – Lin Bu, a famous hermit, poet and painter in the Song Dynasty. It is one of the important scenic spots in the Lin Bu series of human landscapes in Huangxian Forest Park. When designed and constructed, the tower absorbed some elements of Baoshu Tower in Hangzhou. Because Lin Bu lived in seclusion on Gushan Mountain in Hangzhou until his death after middle age. Dongyuan Tower is adjacent to Mingzhu Lake in the west. The lake and mountain reflect each other, and the tower shadow lies horizontally. Tourists feel as if Lin Bu is wandering between Gushan Mountain and West Lake, implying the deep meaning of recalling Lin Bu. Climbing the tower and looking into the distance, the lake and mountains are all at your feet. Not far away is the famous Xiangshan Bay. There are dotted fishing sails and graceful gulls and herons. The coastal scenery comes into view, making people feel relaxed and happy.
