Fahua Lingdong

When visiting Putuo Mountain, one must not overlook the unique scenery of Fahua Cave.

Fahua Lingdong is located at the eastern gate of Jibao Ridge. After turning left from Hongfa House and climbing up the path, passing the ancient thatched hut (now a civilian house), you will arrive at one of the twelve famous scenes of Putuo Mountain, known as “Fahua Lingdong”.

In this area, huge rocks are stacked against each other, forming dozens of caves: some have hollows and narrow passages; some are spacious like rooms with stone statues inside; and some are wider at the top and narrower at the bottom, with springs trickling down from the rocks, forming pools. Although Putuo Mountain has many caves, each one is uniquely extraordinary.

Outside the cave, there are inscriptions such as “Blue Sky Blessing Land”, “Putuo Rock”, and “Southeast Pillar”.

The geographical location is at the eastern gate of Jibao Ridge. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day, with specific business hours subject to the daily opening status.
