Fuzhi Mountain is a large-scale stone wave group discovered in the low-latitude and low-altitude areas of China, which can be regarded as a geological wonder and has high scientific research value. According to Han Tonglin, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, these stone waves are relics of the Quaternary glaciation formed 3 million years ago.
The scenic area contains 12 stone waves of various sizes, including the Big Wave, Small Wave, Mei Wave, Wu Wave, and Xiang Shi Wave.
The ‘Fuzhi Mountain Stone Wave Climbing Festival’, which relies on the glacial stone waves, has been held for 7 consecutive sessions. Its brand influence is growing both within and outside the city, extending from Shangyu and Shaoxing to Taizhou and Hangzhou, and has become an important part of the ‘Four Seasons Fairy Fruit Tour’ – Shangyu City’s leisure tourism festival.
