Gexian Village Resort

Gexian Village Resort is located in Qianshan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It was invested and constructed by Xinbang Group in June 2016, with a cumulative investment exceeding 1.569 billion RMB. The resort is backed by the thousand-year-old Taoist mountain, Gexian Mountain, and is positioned to create a new landmark for tourism in Jiangxi. The project is divided into two phases, with a planned construction area of about 300,000 square meters and a core scenic area of 650 acres. It includes three major sections: the Gathering Center Area, Gexian Village Resort, and Tianjingtai Scenic Area, and will continue to expand along the valley in the future.
Gexian Village Resort is built around the Gexian Mountain Scenic Area, taking the cultivation deeds of immortal Ge Xuan on Gexian Mountain as the clue, integrating the core and elements of Taoist culture. It combines classical landscape painting and Taoist aesthetics to reproduce the rural scene where the immortal Ge Xuan lived and cultivated at the end of the Han Dynasty. With water, bamboo, and village as creative elements, the resort is committed to creating a natural sanctuary and a fairy village that integrates ecological tourism, leisure vacation, business conventions, and Taoist cultural experiences.

The scenic spot of Gexian Village Resort, Yuanfang·Heavenly Circle and Earthly Square, is hidden in the mountains and forests. The name Yuanfang comes from the Taoist concept of ‘Heavenly Circle and Earthly Square’. The bronze compass in Yuanfang is created by a famous artist, narrating the Taoist understanding and profound knowledge of the principles of heaven and earth. The overall design adopts the concept of ‘Disappearing Architecture’, with the exterior facade using glass mirrors and bamboo. From a distance, these glass mirrors reflect the natural scenery of the mountains, making the building seem hidden in the mountains and forests. If one is not paying attention, it is difficult to discover this building, and even harder to see the paradise hidden behind the architecture.

Zhongmiao Pavilion is the highest point of the scenic area, using ancient architectural structures, with a main building height of 26 meters, a three-story and four-column pure wooden structure. Pavilions are mostly used for storing books and enshrining deities, which also gives the pavilion more cultural significance. In the evening, a grand and solemn Zhongmiao Pavilion show will be staged, combining modern technology lighting with ancient architecture, creating a dreamlike and visually impactful experience.

In the central area of the Ancestral Hall Square, some traditional folk cultural performances will be staged.

Xi Chen Gate·Cold Pond Clear Water, washing away the mundane dust under the moonlight, seekers of the path perform a respectful bow and enter the Taoist door. The ‘Xi Chen Gate’, created with a mist curtain device, is beautifully lit with beautiful light and mist, washing away the worldly dust for those who come from afar.

Tea Garden·Tea Garden Performance, a dazzling display of light. The tea garden is located on a hillside above Yuanfang, with tea plants planted in layers according to the terrain. Every tea picking season, the figures of tourists picking tea also become a unique scenery of the fairy village.
At night, the tea gardens transform into a scene where holographic projection technology creates an ethereal image of immortals playing the zither. Technological lighting and forest mist offer visitors an enchanting experience, surrounded by a misty and colorful ambiance.

The Water Curtain Movie – A Majestic and Heart-Rending Experience is held at the Water Stage in the Hall of Mysteries, where every night, large-scale live-action water curtain movies are performed. The fusion of water and light creates a dazzling visual feast. Actors dance to the rhythm of the music, which alternates between turbulent and soothing, narrating a series of ups and downs in the legendary stories of a prosperous era.

Xian Yin Ping – The Lingering Sound of the Immortals is a music square built with the theme of ‘bamboo’ culture. Its main structure is made from naturally dried and treated bamboo from the mountains, and the architecture also represents the shape of bamboo leaves. Various musical events and cultural performances are often held here.

Chinese Zhenwu Culture Museum – A Long-standing History of Zhenwu Culture is located at the entrance of Lingbao Xian Street, with a wall design featuring the horse-head wall, characteristic of Hui-style architecture. The museum showcases the Zhenwu culture that has been passed down in China since ancient times, with exhibition areas, retail areas, and workshops, allowing visitors to understand the Zhenwu culture deeply while admiring ancient Zhenwu artifacts.
