Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli

The Public Gardens of Indro Montanelli in Milan is the city’s first urban park planned for public use. Designed by Giuseppe Piero Marini, it was built from 1783 to 1786. Later, in 1857, it was expanded and the garden originally belonging to the Palazzo Durini was incorporated. The park has undergone many renovations. In 2002, in memory of the missing journalist Indro Montanelli, the government renamed the park Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli. The park has large areas of woods, fresh air and a quiet environment. It is a great place for relaxation, walking or having a picnic. There are also turtles and various kinds of fish in the pond. In the modern art gallery, some special sculptures and buildings are also worth seeing. In the park, children can often be seen playing on the grass, and there are also many people jogging. Opening hours: Open all year round from 6:30 to 21:00. Service facilities: Barrier-free services: barrier-free parking lot, barrier-free entrance. Tips: Please keep quiet and do not litter.
