Guilin Park is located at No. 128 Guilin Road, covering an area of 3.55 hectares. It was initially constructed in 1929 with an investment of 3.5 million silver dollars and was completed in 1932. The park is designed in the traditional Jiangnan classical garden style, with an exquisite and unique layout. Against the backdrop of rugged rocks, small ponds, and ancient green pines and cypresses, it forms a perfectly unified architectural complex. Guilin Park is home to 23 varieties of osmanthus trees, including gold, silver, red, and evergreen varieties, with over 1,000 trees in total. Every Mid-Autumn Festival, when the osmanthus flowers are in full bloom, the park is filled with a delightful fragrance that is truly refreshing. The garden art of Guilin Park employs traditional Jiangnan classical scenery techniques, with a layout that is both exquisite and unique. Inside the park, there are dragon walls, flower walls, small bridges over flowing water, layered mountains and peaks, pavilions and towers, pavilions and rest areas, winding paths, lush flowers and trees, and a harmonious layout, all contributing to a bright architectural style. Buildings such as the Ha Ha Pavilion, Lingyun Pavilion, Songyue Pavilion, Yi Pavilion, Ba Xian Tai, Guanyin Pavilion, Si Jiao Hall, Welcome Hall, Osmanthus Hall, Feixiang Hall, Nine-turn Corridor, Ban Ru Fang, ‘Double Rainbows Resting on Waves’, and arch bridges form a perfectly unified Guilin Park under the rugged rocks, clear ponds, and ancient green pines and cypresses. The park is filled with over 1,000 trees of 23 varieties, including gold, silver, and red osmanthus, and every Mid-Autumn Festival, the fragrance fills the entire park. The annual Osmanthus Festival is one of its major features. The park is open all year round from 05:00 to 19:30.
